The Summer School takes place from August 18 until August 29 in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Arrival is preferably one day before the 18th and departure one day after the 29th.
APPLICATION: The online registration is now open. Deadline for registration is April 25, 2008.
ACCOMMODATION: Utrecht University can arrange accomodation for all participants. More information will follow soon.
Please note that all participants will be allocated rooms; it is not possible to choose your own room. To do this as
fairly as possible, we will use a draw to allocate rooms. Particpants can also arrange their own accomodation.
HOW TO GET TO UTRECHT:
Schiphol airport – Utrecht Central station by train:
Schiphol train station is situated directly below the airport. Train tickets are available from the yellow ticket machines
near the platforms at Schiphol Plaza or from the ticket offices, which are situated close to the red/white-checked cube at Schiphol Plaza.
Buy a one way ticket (enkele reis) to Utrecht Central Station (€ 7,60). There is a direct train to Utrecht every half hour which leaves from
platform 1 or 2. When in doubt, you can always ask someone at the ticket office. You will soon notice that almost everyone in the Netherlands

Eindhoven airport – Utrecht Central Station by train:
From the arrival hall at Eindhoven airport you can walk to the bus stop. With bus nr 401, starting at Eindhoven Airport, Eindhoven Central station
is accessible in approximately 15 minutes. You can buy a ticket in the bus.
Train tickets are available from the yellow ticket machines near the platforms at Eindhoven Central station or from the ticket offices in the central
hall of the station. Buy a one way ticket (enkele reis) to Utrecht Central Station (€ 12,40). There is a direct train to Utrecht every 15 minutes.
Travelling from Eindhoven Central Station to Utrecht Central station takes 50 minutes. For journey advises and time tables you can also check: www.ns.nl
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: maximum 60.
CREDITS: 9 ECTS. After fulfilment of all requirements (preparation of assignments and reading,
active participation and final essay of 10 - 15 pages), participants receive the NOISE Certificate from Utrecht University for
240 hours of work.
TUITION FEES: The tuition fee of 550 euros is inclusive of reading materials, but exclusive
of accommodation, subsistence costs (i.e. evening meals, drinks etc) and possible excursions.

If you want to apply for the grant of your university, please check with your local contact-person for
the application procedure.
Participants have to make their own travel and visa arrangements. They also have to take care of proper medical, travel and
damage insurance coverage.
WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

- Preparation: the participants are required to prepare the readings and the assignments sent to them in advance.
