- Hosted by Gender Studies, Utrecht University, ADVANCE will in 2007 open an interdisciplinary seminar series, called
The Gender Lab: Experimenting Arts and Aciences, a forum for presentations and scholarly discussions on gender and science. The Gender Lab will be open for invited speakers, PhD students and researchers of Gender Studies and the ADVANCE mentors and mentées from Utrecht University. - ADVANCE will run a Summer School for training female scientists in research and management skills (in Krems, Austria).
The core section of the ADVANCE project is the training programme within the framework of a summer school, in which the selected participants will acquire competence in research and management skills according to their needs. A second, key factor of the project comprises the accompanying mentoring and coaching programme. The participants are assigned mentors – in other words experienced scientists – from the partner institutions. Both personal and professional development can be advanced within a mentor-mentee partnership. In addition, the candidates are offered the opportunity of networking. - Now, how are You related to this?
