Advanced Training for Women in Scientific Research

- at Utrecht University!

Utrecht University is part of the EU project (FP6)  ADVANCE. The ADVANCE project promotes the participation of women in the natural sciences, engineering & industry by supporting female scientists in acquiring research and career management skills and tools that help them build up their careers. A Summer School and a Mentoring Program is offered to three (3!) menetees (pre- or post doc woman scientists willing to advance their career). Deadline for application: 26 February! Download application and send it to cecilia.asberg@let.uu.nl
The core section of the ADVANCE project is the training programme within the framework of a summer school, in which the selected participants will acquire competence in research and management skills according to their needs. A second, key factor of the project comprises the accompanying mentoring and coaching programme. The participants are assigned mentors – in other words experienced scientists – from the partner institutions. Both personal and professional development can be advanced within a mentor-mentee partnership.
