Gender Studies Research

Gender Studies at Utrecht University is combining various activities spanning education and research. It draws faculty across a range of fields and disciplines. The teachers and researchers at Gender Studies are currently teaching and researching in affiliated and over-lapping fields and disciplines, including history, media and communication, philosophy, post colonial studies, anthropology, literature, cultural studies, visual studies and science and technology studies. The faculty consists of active researchers, they write books and articles, are holding conferences and presenting at international work shops.

The Graduate Gender Program (GGeP) is the successor of the Netherlands Research School of Women´s Studies (NOV). The research dimension is of the greatest importance within all GGeP activities, whether research training for PhDs or MA’s. There are also several options for foreign post-graduate and Ph.D. students available within GGeP.
 
Publications in refereed - top - journals are important for reseachers in the gender area. The European Science Foundation made a ranking list of various gender journals. You can find it here.
